The MacMillans of Dunmore
Chiefs of the Knapdale M'millans

Duncan MacMillan 3rd of Dunmore matriculated the above arms in 1742 as "representative of the ancient family of MacMillan of Knapdale".
The Dunmore family's exact relationship to the earlier MacMillans of Knap is uncertain, but for one possible line of descent see

A detailed update on the history of the MacMillans of Dunmore is currently being serialised in the Clan MacMillan International Magazine.
