1. Ewen (alias Cameron) M'millan [043] was born estimated 1690 in Lochaber, SCT. He died after 1755 in Callich, Kilmallie, Lochaber, SCT. Tacksman of Callich
Evan McMillan is a tenant of Callich in 1746 - along with John McMillan, Angus McMillan, and "Alexander Cameron alias McMillan" (later of Murlagan) who was then the Tacksman. In 1748/9 Ewen is the Tacksman - recorded as "Evan McMillan Cameron" - and in 1755 he shares the tenancy with two other Ewen McMillans (possibly his son and grandson) and a John McMillan.
Somerled MacMillan ("Bygone Lochaber", pages 79-81) attempts to connect this Ewen M'millan in Callich with the Maolmuire M'millan ("Mulmore vic Ian vic William") who was the Tacksman there in 1642, but there is no known evidence to support the descent of the former from the latter.
