A Glenurquhart Macmillan Society was founded in 1991,
with membership open to all descendants of the many Macmillans resident in
Glen Urquhart, Scotland,
between the 16th and 20th centuries, including those now living overseas.
In 2006 it was merged into Clan MacMillan International (CMI),
and events in Glenurquhart are now organised by the Clan MacMillan in the
UK committee of CMI.

A history of the Glenurquhart
Macmillans is being compiled by clan genealogist Graeme Mackenzie, who's
grandmother mother was a Macmillan from Drumclune
and who founded the Glenurquhart Macmillan Society to help gather and
disseminate information about the clan in "The Glen".
It's hoped to publish the history in book form in 2007 - "The Year of
Highland Culture" - but in the meantime the genealogies of the
various Macmillan families
